I would love to join in with the scrapbooking! I would like to have a go but haven't got a clue where to start! I have bought a scrapbook just need to decide what to put in it! do you all buy the papers/embelshments then decide what photos to put in or the other way round?
saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
    £60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j
  • I'd love to start scrapbooking - any excuse to buy some more papers - I thought it was just me that didn't want to use any of her best bits :p.

I have loads of the blonde moments papers and its a running joke with my friends that I never use them - they also reckon you only get an insert in your card if you're really special :rotfl:.

I'm off to the Range today to stock up :D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

I have a seriously scary amount of craft stuff but never seem to have enough time to sit on backside & craft. I used to make cards to sell but now only make them as & when I need to.
I've made 3 small scrapbooks, one for each child, last summer and would like to do more.
I have all the stuff, all the papers, embellishments etc......just a matter of getting enough Me time!! So maybe with encouragement from here might actually get started!!

How do I subscribe to a particular thread without having to scroll through list every time?
    Thanks M

If you are like me you just buy craft stuff, hide it in box from your H ..
Then buy more craft stuff, hide from H :rotfl:

I think, this might be seriously wrong but... You look through photos and say you have a great one of a trip to say the zoo. You pick your papers and embellishments in line with the picture ? Well thats what i think i am going to do anyway :rotfl:

Where i have bought papers etc already i am going to try to take photos that fit with the theme. So i have 'easter ones' So i will try to take some themed Easter photos. Or Seaside ones and then find a relevant photograph.

But at the moment i am still at the buy papers etc then hide from H stage :o :rotfl:

I can't help it but whenever you post recently it's like you're saying what I'd say and I have been cracking up!!!:rotfl:

We definitely need a virtual crop to get us all using up all these goodies!! Today I've been filling my baskets on madaboutcards and bellaboo and also have a full one on craft superstore but I have so far managed not to go through the checkout (keep thinking I should wait til I'm in the states!!)

Any craft companies on any of the cashback sites??? (See I'm trying to help us be money neutral ;) )

This is the part on UKS I like to visit to see the shop discounts:
    http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/forumdisplay.php?f=10

If you don't know where to start.. Just visit a shop and your virtual basket will soon fill up :) I usually print off a picture and then pull out some stash based on that photograph (colours etc) but sometimes I may see a sticker and want to do a whole layout based on it.

There are no hard rules.. just get creative and messy!!

As for the cybercrop.. What about if I start a new team on UKS and then we can chat in our team and share our pics in the gallery.

I will also donate a prize. I was going to run some classes if people would be up for that? Obviously we are all at different levels in our crafting but I thought you might like to take come classes to get you started?

If this is ok I will work on my classes and then post a supplies list.

  • I don't know if anyone has mentioned this site before?
    Craft Creations
There's 48 back editions of magazines that you can access online - each one has loads of projects that you can use (mostly for card making, I think). All free to access, and they state that they don't mind if you sell your creations :D
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
