OK, so apologies if this is on the wrong board.
After reading on several store windows, I found in my inbox (get reports from the "drapersonline"... Kate Kuba are in administraion! They only opened most of their stores a few months ago! Apparently they are being bought by someone else- they think: http://www.drapersonline.com/news/2008/12/kate_kuba_in_administration.html
More of a curious thread really, do you know who is in administration or going to be? who is being bought by who... etc and more importantly, what it would mean for the customer/consumer?
Just a pre-warning incase this post lasts more then 24 hours, please do not scaremonger others- only post facts if you know facts, if you are guessing, say your guessing. Otherwise it can cause no end of problems!

I have heard from very reliable sources that Debenhams are in a considerable amount of danger, as it were, and this year may see them fall too. The person in question is a shareholder and someone who holds shares in general and is trying to offload his shares while he can as are others.0

Well given the rally in Debenhams shares today he should be pleased

The rumours about DSG, imo, are more likely to be reliable...0 -

If your talking about Kate Kuba, they apparently have been bought by someone else so not to worry too much- though after the is it/isn't it HBOS thing going on, I would wait to see it to believe it! But the link I gave does mention they have been bought by another company! They have all closed their stores for the time being though- looks really weird, like they all just up sticks and left- stock still needs to be refilled on some shelves, others look fine. At first I thought they had had a "snatch"!0 -

seems you and a few others on here have a personal vendetta against Debenhams.
Unfortionately for you, profits are up, share prices are up dramaticly, most market analysts have upgraded their stance to hold now so the view is shares will continue to rise as debs are doing very well currently and theres money in the bank for future debt payments. Sorry.0 -
I'm not going to join in, but I wouldn't get too ahead of myself with regard to Debs...0
