hi, bought a new toshiba laptop around 8 months ago,
it as always acted up from day 1,
but put up with it as it was only every few days,
it kept cutting out and take ages to start back up, ave 15mins.
come december, it was doing it everyday every hour,
the shop i bought it from told me to contact toshiba direct as basically all they would do was the same and would take the a week to collect it.
toshiba had it for 3 weeks and got it back today,
they changed the mainboard & cpu,
worked ok for an hour and shut down, and ive just spent an hour trying to boot it back up,its even worse!
obviously its a dodgy laptop, what are my rights to demand a refund/replacement after 8 months?
i dont see the point in toshiba having it another month for something they cant repair

You would have got a 12 month guarantee with it. Contact Toshiba and get it fixed under warranty, they will take it away and try and fix it, they will only give you a replacement if they can not fix first one.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!
Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T0 -

they have "fixed" it once and so far its the same as before,
how many times can they have a go at fixing it before they say it cant be done?
my warranty runs out in 4 months and they could have had my laptop as much as me if they take it again and again0 -
You can get a refund or replacement directly from the shop you bought it from under the Sale of Goods Act. Don't let them try & fob you off - warranties etc are all irrelevent and you are entitled to go through the seller and not the manufacturer.0
