I could not find the shopping hunt for cheapest uk dvd recorder post so I'll shove it here instead...

Aldi probably have completely sold out of all of its
Tevion md 80032 DVD Recorders at £119.99 as of thursday 12/12/04 (the day of their release)

But did you know that this particular model is actually made by Sampo in tawain, and that in manufactures OEM for relisys and maxent, in fact the following models are the different flavours of the same RDVD deck

Sampo dve r6
Relisys rdvr 250 (and 250d with digicam firewire connector)
Maxent mx rs215 (usa marklet)
Tevion MD 80032

SO IF YOU MISSED THE ALDI SPECIAL and really wanted one THEN LUCKY YOU!!! because your reading my post and I JUST FOUND OUT THAT STAPLES ARE DOING THE SAME DECK FOR £89 SQUID - so you can scoff at the Aldi purchasers (me included) and save £30 over the price we got...
