i was wondering just where i stood on this problem.
i was working on saturday, when i got a phonecall from a family member saying that my partner had been took ill and was there any chance of me coming home. now this is the 1st time that i had had a call in work, i also have a 10 month old daughter. so at this point my daughter is a priority. so i had a chat with one of the other chefs incharge, and she didn't know what to do, so at this point all i was thinking of was my daughter. as i was leaving i was told, by another member of staff "if i go don't be surprised if i don't have a job to come back to" so where do i stand on this problem?

Did you ask your boss (or next in line if your boss wasn't there) for permission to leave?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Who was in charge as such and did you speak to them before you left?
Who was the other member of staff that spoke to you as you left?
Have you an HR department or senior manager you can speak to today?0
