gd find , but bad reviews on it on amazonI was bought this for christmas, and after many years of warm waxing using those sticky microwaveable pots you buy from the supermarket, it was a novel change and a it sounded like a good idea.
How wrong can you be?
After placing the wax strip on my leg, I followed the instructions and rubbed the heating plate over the wax strip, using the hottest setting. After a couple of minutes of this, I held my skin taut and removed the wax strip. Nothing happened. The wax hadn't melted sufficiently enough to remove any hair.
So, I repeated the procedure, this time using the heating plate for 5 minutes. Again, not much happened, except that my leg felt somewhat burnt and the wax was ever-so-slightly tacky but not sticky enough to remove hair.
My Mom had a go with it, and she too couldn't get the wax to melt enough.
We have come to the conclusion that the only way that this device will ever remove hair is if you hold it on your skin long enough that you actually singe the hair off! Because that "professional wax" is never going to melt.
This is a total waste of money, and if it did work, it would take far far longer to wax legs than the traditional wax pot method.
I have this and I am not impressed. The process is basically ironing except instead of clothes or your hair this is your skin. The hairs on my skin grown in ten different directions (hence why up until now I paid someone else to do it) and I would compare the exprerience in removing the hairs to getting rid of stubborn creases.
What you need for this product is time, patience, less testosterone than me (I think testosterone is to blame for body hair) and a free moment between the hours of 9 and 5 to call conair and order more sachets of the sachets or pre-wax cleanser that are not included with the replacement wax strips.
I was very dubious about purchasing this item as I have bought waxing products in the past and found them to be a complete waste of money. Based on the other review here I decided to take the plunge. I should have listened to my gut instincts. DO NOT waste YOUR money. I had to keep repeating the process over the same area, 4-5 attempts later I still did not have a hair free patch. I shall be sticking to the salon - it's the only way. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews
