Use the £19.00 towards your outstanding council tax.
Your Credit card is NOT a priority, your council tax isClick here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

i think before i do that i'll try to get it under it's 200 limit (i've got some stuff i've never used on ebay and if tat sells, it's getting split between council tax and the credit card, to stop them trying to charge me extra for the privilige)0

You could claim back any unlawful CC charges.
You could be taken to court for council tax arrears
It's extremely unlikely you'll be taken to court for such a small credit card debt.
It's your decision how you manage your finances, I'm only trying to get you to see the difference between those you have an obligation to and those you don't.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

Hi If you are on benefits why the rent? Do you not qualify for Housing benefit?Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

yeah, thats whats left out of 200 quid / month rent after i get the housing benefit. it was 18 but then i got DLA, and it went up to 39.98 but since i use paypoint to pay it i pay 40, the 2p goes towards rent arrears. every little helps i suppose0

Hi georgiagrrl,
Your DLA isn't counted when it comes to benefits so you shouldn't be paying more rent as a result. If anything it should be the other way around although this depends on what rate you get.
Did they tell you why your rent increased if it's because of the DLA query it?

i didnt get told why, but at the same time the DLA started i got a letter fromt eh housing people telling me i had to pay almost 40 / month. it seemed reasonable so i've just been paying it0
-
I would definitely query this as it shouldn't have gone up because of the DLA, there may be an obvious reason but no harm in asking them. I know it's only a small amount but if they have made an error then it's in your favour.
