Argos return without receipt

    It will probably be at the discretion of the Argos you go to, without proof of purchase you could have bought the item anywhere and it could be any age.

    I would try to find some proof of purchase before you go in...credit card statement or whatever.

    And for the future...put an old biscuit tin in a corner of a drawer somewhere and make a point of dropping all your even slightly important receipts into it when you get home, after scribbling what the receipt is for on the back. Saves time and stress in the long run. Or have a polypocket file for instructions and warrenties, with the receipt staples to each. I'm one of the messier people on the planet but even I do this.
