I understand that stores will have sold quite a few iPods over Christmas but I can't find a single store within 50 miles that has any silver or black 120gb classics, surely some re stocking must have gone on ?

New catalogue coming out in a couple of weeks, they will probably be restocked before then.[DISCLAIMER: Any posts made by myself are my opinions and do not represent my employer]

Trouble is I have £60 worth of Argos vouchers I'm very keen to get rid of!
The classic in silver is available for home delivery, can I order that instore and get it delivered to my local and then pay with the vouchers?0 -
You would have to have it delivered to your house, but you can pay instore with your vouchers0

Thank you for that, so I just go in and ask to order it at the till and give them my address, assuming I would then have to pay delivery though?
Or could I be extra nice and see if they can waive the delivery charge? Is this something the shop can do?0 -

Yes, just go on in and ask for it to be delivered. The delivery charge is £5.80 and it should be delivered within a few days.
They do have the ability to override the delivery charge but this is only done if you have experienced major issues/problems e.g. if you reserved and paid for the item in store but they couldn't find it in the stock room. They will not remove the delivery charge simply because the item isn't available in store - as many items are home delivery only and they still incur the same charge!

Managed to get a black 160gb from Wembley store in London in the end.
They had 5 in stock, I happened to be going to London so it made sense but still none in stock anywhere near me. Thanks for all the advice guys
EDIT: Now all local stores are showing as at least 2 or 3 in stock!0
