I bought a couple of L'oreal products from Tesco which I haven't even unwrapped/used. Would they accept them back without a receipt? They were not bought @ Christmas time.

From my experience with my local Tesco it was hard pushed getting an exchange even through the product had Tesco on and was faulty. All I can say is its worth a try, you could maybe exchange them for other things if they won't refund. No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

I believe that you can take them back if you can prove you paid for them. It doesn't have to be a receipt it can be your bank statement showing the purchase made by card.0

dunno if that would work, jax. Could have spent £100 in tesco that day, but it still doesnt prove you bought the loreal stuff in there.0

i dont think you will be able to get a refund, and i know its not easy to get a refund even with a receipt at tesco, not even boots or superdrug will take make up and creams back even with a receipt.0

Jax is correct, if you have any proof of purchase; bank or credit card statement then you can return these items. They may only offer back a gift card as well.
The other thing is that you only 28 days to return any items so if its past the 28 days I wouldnt even bother trying to return them.
I know that your bank/cc statement wont break down your tesco receipt but Tesco can check on their system what was bought on specific days/times, by till number, clubcard number etc....and this is proof of purchase.

They will know I paid for them because they had a security tag on each when I bought them that had to be removed at the till.0

Unfortunately that does not prove proof of purchaseAlways follow the path of least resistance.0 -
Did you use a clubcard, if so they can trace whatever you have purchased.0

Tesco does not need to accecpt them back regardless.
This does not affect your statutory rights.0
