Hello,

I am on here because my mum is in some trouble with Nationwide through no fault of her own, let me explain.

About 4 years ago she opened a Natiowide account, but she decided not to use the account after all. She moved address also about a year later.

Now my mum is at her new house, and decided she wanted to move again, and applied for a mortgage again to learn she was declined because of a Default on her credit file from Nationwide, on the current account she opened.

My mum went into her local branch who confirmed she was £600 o/d on her account, although she NEVER used the account once. My mum insisted t see transactions, and they are not hers, and all the transactions appear to have been done online.

My mum never recieved any bank statements and had a re direction set up to her new address! Nationwide insist she is liable for the money and my mum cannot get a mortgage because of a default they registered on her in late 2007, when they are saying the account was used in 2005.

Please can someone advise on what can be done here?

Thank you
mazie:confused:
