Nintendo Stars Catalogue Updated

The Nintendo Stars Catalogue has been updated and most of the good stuff is away already.

Still some Nintendogs T shirts and toys left for those with enough stars.

  • Anyone have any spare stars? I couldn't afford anything decent and I understand products can't be registered twice. :)
  • halfacandan posted this over at the DVD Forums ... it's going to help me, as I have 3 pairs of bongos!
You can register multiple copies of the same game easily. Just "refer" a freshly-concocted email address then sign up a new account with that and register the multiple with it. Now the account you use to refer the new account gets 250 points for referring a new VIP. I've registered 3 copies of Metroid Prime 2 this way and I have a couple Resident Evil 4 codes to do this way too.
  • well thanks op i have now looked at the site and registered and now have 1,455 stars after regerstering just 4 items :) thanks again

Some Nintendo games for GameCube (and I think the DS) come with an insert in the box with a scratch off panel to reveal a code. By registering with Nintendo's web site (https://www.nintendovip.com) and entering these codes, you can build up your "stars" collection. Each game is generally worth 200 stars, and I think a GameCube itself is worth 400 but I may be wrong.

You can then swap the stars for goodies. Most of the time there's nothing worthwhile (just Nintendo ringtones & wallpapers) but they put some nice stuff on a few times a year such as games, and controllers. I never have enough to afford anything decent, they're rather expensive, but I suppose its worthwhile.

I'd still be grateful for any spare stars if anyone has any lying around that they can't use. :)

All Nintendo consoles are worth 500 points and games are 250 points.

Here are lists of the games (the red and white present shows which games have VIP points):

    DS games

    GameCube games

    GB Advance games

You usually only find points in Nintendo produced games.
