I want to work in a customer care environment , I have degrees in Bachelor of Commerce , E -Commerce ( 2 years honours programme)and a Post graduate diploma in business management , dealing with people on first hand basis, done from india. As my husband is on work permit, so I don t need one to be issued for myself. I recently got married and came to this place.
I have good english communication skills and am IT literate. I have worked as a manager in a big mobile phone company in India and also have excellent telephone manner.
I have the following questions:
1. Will my qualifications be recognised here and if so which jobs should I apply for . (As I am currently unemployed)
2. I would not mind starting small, but are there any basic things I must do before people even start looking at my CV. If so where will I find out. And how to go about it?
3. Which sector should I try to get into. As I just like helping people so I am open about where I work and it need not be an environment similar to the environment that I worked in.
As I am placed near London , I feel that if I cant do it here, I wont be able to do it anywhere.
cheers

Hi Rammster,
It is my belief that your cv will secure you an interview in a call centre, then the rest is up to you to sell yourself well at the interview. If i were you, i would clearly state that you are more than happy to start as an advisor on the phone and work your way up through the company if thats a possibility. But as i said, do make sure you put that on your application form otherwise they may just be scared off by you being overqualified..believe it or notOr you may strike lucky and they interview you for a higher position, just start applying asap and im sure you'll get there soon .
