Getting a loan to finance study abroad? Any tips? Possible?

in Loans
I want to go study in the USA for two years. Always wanted to go back to School. I left with 9 GCSE's and went straight into a job. 11 years later I'm looking to put right the mistake of not going to further education.
Currently in a 19k a year job that I'd leave to do this later in 2006.
When applying to a college as an international student in the US, they require you to prove you can finance yourself. I don't have a problem with this, I wouldn't want to go over there unsure I could pay my way either.
Does anyone know of any options with banks that may allow me to obtain a loan to do this? Obviously paying them back over the first two years is pretty much impossible. I'd be looking to try loan around 20k to cover myself totally for two years.
Do I stand a chance? I plan to visit some banks this weekend but wanted to ask incase anyone has some words of advice or guidance. I don't own a house or anything like that.
I'm worried I'm barking mad and no one will want to offer me a loan to do this.
Thanks in advance.

have you done a google search for scholarships or busaries to help you...
you might get some free money to give you a hand along the way.....
try looking at www.prospects.ac.uk - i think they have a whole section on getting cash for studying abroad.....0 -
why go to usa to study? if you want to go into further education why not go to uk university etc and obtain all grants you're entitled to0
