Just attempted to make a risotto and it has come out ok. I followed a recipe but for some reason I still have some chicken stock and passata mixture left.
The mixture is still simmering on a low heat like it said to do.
What shall I do with it? The risotto won't take any more liquid. I don't want to throw it away. Please help!

If the stock hasn't already been frozen I would put the mixture in the freezer.Use it as the base for a pasta sauce later or in soup.
If it has previously been frozen can you use it in soup or pasta tomorrow?

Freeze it for use again!
You can freeze it in bags or ice cube trays. You could also make soup using the rest of the stock and passata. There should be a tomato soup recipe in the mega index.

The stock wasn't frozen previously, it came out of a carton
So I am ok to just put it in the fridge and use tomorrow in my pasta? I was going to use passata in my pasta tomorrow anyway with a can of tinned tomatoes.
If I can then thats great.0 -

Thank you both. The spare stock/passata mix is now in the fridge waiting to be used for pasta tomorrow.0
