I have issued them with a SAR on a 40day response time as per the advice on this site. I will see what info they provide to me.

So the long and short is, they have defaulted me for not meeting my original credit agreement minimum payments, even though the original creditor accepted this and did not default. And the monies that Cabot have defaulted me for are based on me not paying the minimum as per the MS agreement, which they have no right to ask for, especially as they agreed my DMP in the first place, not once stating that i would be in breach of my original credit agreement.

I will write a letter outling what we have spoken about here and the advice you have given. I fully appreciate your help with this. I knew deep down that this scenario could not be legitimate, i'm glad that i posted on here.

Now all i need to do is solve the problem at the top of this post. These collections agencies are a law unto themselves it seems.
  • Just to ask, does a person have to miss a minimum of 3 payments before a default process can be started? Is that law?
