I had a credit card with MBNA (was £1786 now £1100) cut it up sent it back payplan managed to get the interest frozen on this for me .. they were very awkward with me when i tried to go it alone with them.
you can always pay a bit extra to payplan when you have a bit extra they'll give you a paylink card add funds to it and they'll take it off or you can transfer it with online banking..Lightbulb Moment - March 2004

FLAURA - that was another Q I was going to ask, didn't know whether to start a new thread. Mbna have asked me to cut up and send back their 4 cards. (They have refused to freeze int. or accept reduced payments). Now I think I read somewhere here that someone else sent their card back and that action closed the account. Does anyone know if my sending back the cards will action a freeze int. of the account even though balances owing, or will they still add the interest? Guess I know the answer to that one tho' just scraping the bottom of the barrel of hope :cool:0
