    pro rata means based on full working week.
    ie 40 hours week = £13,085

    so 20 hours would be 6542.50

    As I understand it pro rata is a percentage of the full time wage . You need to know how many hours is considered to be full time at this place.
    For example if £13085 a year was for full time 40 hours work then you'd get £6542.50 a year for working 20 hours a week and the hourly pay would be £6.29

    13085 divided by 52 (weeks a year) then divided by the hours a week (40) = £6.29 before tax and NI.

    If the full time hours were 37 1/2 or 37 it would still be worked out the same.

    13085 divided by 52 then divided by the full time hours (40, 371/2, 37) to get the hourly rate then times by 20.
    HTH :D

    fulltime 40 hrs = £6.29
    37 1/2 = £6.71
    37 = £6.80

    In your example you will get (20/full time hours) x Full time salary. eg if the full time hours are 40 you will get (20/40)x £13085 or £6542.50.

    Weather its 37, 38 or 40 hours depends on the job
