Boots Razor

Hi

I bought a new razor from Boots about three weeks ago. It cost £40. I've now seen on the boots website that it is £30. Should boots refund the difference and do I have any ground to stand on that for £40 I can get a much better razor from Argos (half price deal)?

Cheers

  • Have you used it? If it is new and unused then you could probably return it for a refund but you would need your receipt for this.

Other than that, whenever you buy something you take a risk that it will either go down or be cheaper elsewhere, even amazon have stopped refunding the difference if things go down. You could ask, but I think you might be laughed out of the store!

A few months ago I was buying petrol at 118p a litre, now it is about 83p a litre.

Is there anything I can do?

Are you serious? Just why do you think they should refund the difference?

It's a case of tough luck really, you have no legal grounds for getting a refund for the difference, so I wouldn't waste your time trying. Prices come down all the time, especially during sale season, so you will see a lot of things around now that are cheaper than they were three weeks ago.

If you paid by some credit cards they will pay you back the difference, but not all of them do this.

Otherwise, the price you see is supposed to be the price you pay.

Could try buying a new one, then takeing the new one back with the old recipet? naughty but many people do this.

You need to take it on the chin. It's no use getting all bristly about it. I had a close shave last week in a similar incident. The whole retail industry is rather cut-throat at the moment. Just keep your hair on.
