  • Hi
I usually tell people to try to avoid the bankruptcy route at all costs when they have assets (usually a house). It MIGHT be that in your case, it would provide a clean safe option and is definitely worth getting EXPERT advice on. It would take ALL your debts and wrap them up neatly from the date of bankruptcy, depositing them firmly with the liquidator, who will write them off after 1 year. Arrangements will be made for you to make contributions from income towards these debts for a period of one year, after which you will be free to start your life again with a clean slate.

AT THIS POINT, take a long hard look at your Income and Expenditure totals, making sure you have more on the income side. IF NOT then you will always have problems until you can reduce outgoings or increase incomes (or even both by a little).

This is only a general chat about what I can see on this forum and should not be taken as legal advice for your case. Have it checked fully, but I do think you have a possible way out of your debt problem which you should grasp and adhere to a debt free way of life thereafter. (BURN credit cards and GET A DEBIT CARD).

I REPEAT.... this is only my limited view and others will tell you to look at different options. I agree. Look at them all BEFORE committing to one of them.

    Good luck. Bob.
