i was bought a singer samba sewing machine 20 years ago but never even looked at it. reading through all these threads i have been inspired to pick up my knitting needles and dust off my sewing machine. i have scoured ebay and singer direct as i have been informed that my accessory box should hold more than needles, bobbins and stuff. but am getting nowhere fast no one is replying and have no shop nearby that would sell such things and no doubt i would need some kind of instruction manual. i have a beautiful throw that has some pulls in it and some small holes. it was destined to be gut into rags but i have some huge cushions that desperately need new covers that i would love to have a go covering. can anyone point me in right direction please?
as for knitting i have a huge stash of that chenille wool that was being sold in poundland last year. i am knitting a scarf but will have loads left. i have scoured all the free knitting pattern websites but have found nothing that would be nice to knit, besides not having many patterns for chenille wool to start with. have been to all the obvious lionbrand and knitting pattern central etc but is there any i may have missed, yet again can someone point me in right direction please?

Is your model on here?
also, it will probably need a service after being unused for so long. Have a look at your local sewing machine centre. They can probably get hold of any bits you need too
I got sorted for a Bernina from the 1950's, so you should be fine

You could try registering with http://www.ravelry.com (takes a day or two for registration to be approved) if you are looking for free knitting help or patterns. There's a good forum there that could help with any queries. Also there's a feature where you can type in what yarn you have and it'll show you projects members have made with that yarn. Very good for inspo!Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts :A
