Pay off £15k by 31/12/2009

This is what I will need to pay off my debts by Dec 2009.

Anyone who wishes to join me please PM me.

I want to start the challange to help myself pay it off as well as everyone else.

I am currently designing a Target Sheet etc to help me on the way, which i will put on my Kitchen Fridge.

On my basic wage i am paying off £294.89 per month, which is basically minimum payments, I want to pay overpayments to equal £15k which means that by December next year I will have £1000 for Xmas and my Debts paid off WOOHOO!

Its just all putting Ideas and support together to try and get through this, and get the extra money.

Its mainly about how to get the additional money to get the debts paid off... whether it be a second job, saving money on bills, car boots etc.

As i said anyone who wishes to join, or has already done this please contribute.....

  • Have got a few motivational quotes, poems and stories here... may help along the year to not let us forget our goals!

    While most are dreaming of success, winners wake-up and work hard to achieve it.

    "Let go of the past and go for the future. Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you imagined."-

    Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go

    Determination is often the first chapter in the book of excellence.

    The difference between try and triumph is a little umph

    Champions are made, not born

    Many of life's failures occur when people give up without realizing how close they are to success

    Believe in Yourself… All things are possible

    Many of us spend our whole lives running from feeling with the mistaken belief that you can not bear the pain. But you have already borne the pain. What you have not done is feel all you are beyond that pain

    March on. Do not tarry. To go forward is to move toward perfection. March on, and fear not the thorns, or the sharp stones on life's path

    Once you embrace unpleasant news, not as a negative but as evidence of a need for change, you aren't defeated by it. You're learning from it."

    Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will

    Consider the little ant.
    He never says, "I can't."
    And so it comes as no surprise,
    He carries things ten times his size.

    A plan is only good if it
    Is one that gets recruited;
    For good intentions soon will die
    Unless they're executed.

    Success is never measured by
    The things we try to do;
    It only comes when we have seen
    A task completely through.
    Do not let fear confine your life
    Inside a shell of doubt;
    A turtle never moves until
    His head is sticking out.
    Adversity is what it takes
    To see our goals ascend;
    In order for the kite to rise,
    It flies against the wind.

    To find the key to your success
    Takes more than intuition;
    It's not the key that's hard to find,
    It's finding the ignition!
    Achievements often come when we
    Forget our fears and try;
    For that's when we accomplish what
    We're most remembered by.
    Don't let the distance to your goals
    Keep you from your dreams;
    It's never really quite as far
    As what it often seems.
    The move from failure to success
    Takes more than simply grit;
    It starts when you first realize
    You know you'll never quit.
    Achieving goals is difficult
    Without some sacrifice;
    Remember that you can't get rich
    Until you pay the price.
    Self-discipline is what it takes
    To find a way to win;
    To see if you have what it takes
    Just take a look within.
    If there was ever a time to dare,
    to make a difference,
    to embark on something worth doing,
    IT IS NOW.
    Not for any grand cause, necessarily...
    but for something that tugs at your heart,
    something that's your inspiration,
    something that's your dream.
    You owe it to yourself to make your days here count.
    HAVE FUN.
    DIG DEEP.
    STRETCH.
    DREAM BIG.
    Know, though, that things worth doing seldom come easy. There will be good days.
    And there will be bad days.
    There will be times when you want to turn around,
    pack it up, and call it quits.
    Those times tell you
    that you are pushing yourself, that you are not afraid to learn by trying.
    PERSIST.
    Because with an idea,
    determination, and the right tools,
    you can do great things.
    Let your instincts, your intellect,
    and your heart, guide you.
    TRUST.
    Believe in the incredible power of the human mind.
    Of doing something that makes a difference.
    Of working hard.
    Of laughing and hoping.
    Of lazy afternoons.
    Of lasting friends.
    Of all the things that will cross your path this year.
    The start of something new brings the hope of something great, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.

  • You've got it sorted then lol... wish i had the luxury of living with my rents again... id save so much... but the way the markets gone is ridiculous.

    I used to work for a hotel... reception too lol.. have you asked about catering on evenings, do a couple of night shifts in the conference and events depo? I used to do that... started of as a banquetting temp working the dinners and meals, then worked full time doing reception in the mornings and coming back to do the dinners. Found that working my way through all the different fields of the hotel business made people ask for my help and hours too!

    Will be amazing when i get it lol... started end of october, so hoping that i can pick up the pace now i know the job and now xmas is out the way... fingers crossed their big bills are hitting the mat and they are panicing, more willing to ask for my help then lol!

    Its my bday this month so i dont think i will be able to do the no spend day lol! Mind u as its my 21st im hoping for a little bit of extra cash to what i normally get.
