I would have a look at moo.com if your feeling creative these are both fun and different from your normal 'save the date' cards.

You might have a few upset people when they realise that they haven't been invited to the wedding and reception and just an evening party (if thats what you are having).

I am only have one reception, so I sent mine to most of my guests (but not all as the guest list isn't final yet), but if I was having two, I would only send those to the people I wanted at the actual wedding. Its a bit rude asking someone to save the date and then telling them to only turn up on the night!
  • thats what I was thinking!

  • I've paid £28 for 100 magnets from Vistaprint. We had a plain background with a silly photo of us on the front. They due next week, so can't tell you how they look just yet. Our date is October so going to give them out as soon as they arrive.

I'm going to give them to whoever may want a pic of our ugly mugs. But hadn't really thought that people may think they will have a day invite (thanks iwanttobefree, I could have made a big slip up there.) So shall let people know if they only a night when I hand them out... I can feel the family politics starting up already hehe
