early settlement of Northern Rock unsecured loan

I have a Nothern Rock unsecured loan ( it is unprotected no loanprotect insurance).

The loan is £15k from Feb 2007 for 8 years APR is 5.9%.
I am in the process of remortgaging and Northern Rock have quoted me £12,300 as an early settlement figure on the loan. I was wondering if the figure is negotiable with northern rock or is there any other way I can get the figure reduced? Thanks B

hiya, that loan seems like a really good deal. Do you need to pay it off? i got one with northern rock back in 2004 and i wish i never had. It was double your apr and for 10k and took me ages to make a dent in it. Even now i havent long got into paying the capital off
