Inactive company, revenue informed. Self assessment?

Do I need to do self-assessment.

I didn't think I did because I've informed the revenue that the company I'm director for is inactive.

Just to be sure, is that correct?

AFAIK, if they've sent you a form, you DO need to fill it in. You can ask them not to send you one in future, but any year you're sent one, you MUST complete it.

If they haven't sent you a form then you only need to fill in a form if you owe them tax.

If in doubt, fill one in?

Thanks, they didn't send me a form so I guess I'm ok.

I repeat my earlier comment - as long as you are sure you don't owe them anything!
