Best deal on iPod Touch 8GB?

I am looking for an iPod Touch 8GB at the moment - I was hoping to buy one from Apple Refurbished but I have been waiting ages for one to come up. Are there any good deals on the 2G or even older 1Gs available at the moment?

try Dixons Tax Free - £144 for the V2 8GB - anyone you know who is travelling might be able to buy it for you - also can do "shop & collect" if leaving from a BAA airport and flying to Europe (EU): don't even have to take it with them, just collect it on their return

Following on from the post above HMV tax free are knocking these out at £137 at the mo, which is the cheapest about at the mo.

I appreciate that its limiting in the fact you need to be airside at an airport to buy it but hey ho.

Can I just check the VAT-free price applies to air-travel to the EU as well?

I get a bit confused with things like this since a lot of the alcohol prices are different for EU and non-EU travel with the latter offering the better prices.

Are you definitely sold on an i-pod?

I only ask because I was looking to get one last week and after a bit of reading reviews on the t'internet I decided to go for this Sansa 8GB player instead which is £35 from Amazon plus £7 p&p. Have only just uploaded tracks onto it so no personal recommendation as yet!

I'm no techie

so it may not have the functionality you want and I know there are lots of reasons why you might want to have an i-pod rather than another brand but just in case not...

Hi

I have been after one of these for a week or two, trying to search the best deal.

Asda were coming up favourite - but none in stock!! (website or in store):mad:

Ended up buying from Dixons on line for £150 with free delivery. (used a code from MSE for a discount of 2.5% although I was very annoyed that I had a discount sent to me for £10 off but it had expired on 1 jan!!!
Ordered yesterday - and had a tracking no frm DHL but not arrived so far......
