So what happens now there's no more in the pot ???

Keep trying - eventually someone will be brave enough to paint a picture of the future that's a bit more realistic than having to casserole your dog or fellow MSE'er. :D

I remember the supposed nutter David Icke going on about this very subject ages ago - and he was ridiculed.

Not that I am one of those that believes everything he says but he does talk some sense on a variety of subjects.

Where do you stand on his opinion that many major celebrities and world leaders are actually blood sucking lizards?

Sorry Mewbie but with the financial world under incredible pressures, your statement was one of the most stupidest things I've ever read on MSE. Knowledge is power and protection.

Are you suggesting that if Mewbie had spent the last 6 months swatting up on fractional reserve banking we wouldn't be in this mess? Damn you Mewbie.

Ahh well, at least my mortgage is cheaper. Thanks Mewbie.
  • I've had these darn leather strides with the !!!! cut out since mad max2 and i SHALL have an excuse to wear them. Guess i'll have to wait.

    Realistic estimate (har har har).
There may well be something the politicians call "fundamentals", or value that exists in our economy. The bottom will be reached when people with capital decide it's worth investing in things which have fundamental value. If you're prepared to gamble on the long term then there's plenty of investment opportunities available right now but the payoff will be a long time coming.

Depending on what crazy scheme the government comes up with to smooth out the effect of speculation based on insider trading, massive leverage and predatory shorting the apocalypse may be averted.
So far, they've done very little far as i can see.

There was a programme on a while ago that sort of showed that a lot of what David Icke was saying was in fact quite right and he was sort of well ahead of things at the time. Be interesting to see it again now the !!!!!! has hit the fan.
Not suggesting he was spot on but b1oody close.
I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left.
