I went in to my local Iceland todya and there doing four pack heinz baked beans for 12p thats an unbelievable saving.

What's the date code on them? It might just be that your branch has a lot of short coded ones they need to clear asap.

That must have been *quite* a few years back the 1p/tin (kicked off by the arrival of Aldi in the UK).
I bought loads of them when I moved house (mid/late 90's) as they made an excellent base for keeping freshly painted items a few inches off the ground so they wouldn't stick to the dust sheets!
Still have them stacked up in my understairs cupboard albeit now covered in paint drips just in case the cold war ever starts
