We went to Romford CC, but share the same OR as Chelmsford at Southend. The OR was fine, we have a lovely examiner, although they do tend to do face-to-face interviews, rather than phone. But this really is nothing to worry about, once you have the name of the person doing your interview PM me and I'll tell you if we've had dealings with them. Apart from the initial interview we've heard nothing from them, no hassle at all.
Now I definitley don't think you'll have a problem with your co-op account, Southend are really on the ball when it comes to making sure you can carry on using your safe bank account.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Ok think i might try to open the account tommorow but not use it till after the bankruptcy-- to much muking around. Did they ask you fro statement etc im so worried he will look at all my spending to get my rental property0

They do ask for statements but we didn't have most of ours, I don't know whether they ever go them from our banks etc, but they didn't have them when we had our interview, only the ones we took with us. Please don't worry about spending to set up your new home, it was essential spending.
Oh, and there's a co-op bank round the corner from the OR office, if you need to pay anything in on the day of your interview.:DAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -

The office is in a side road just off the main shopping street in Southend. You may be lucky and get a telephone interview, they're probably a lot busier now than last March. Did your friend own an house?
They just asked how we got in debt, about out house, that's all really, nothing too heavy. Our interview was less than an hour for both of us.
They'd already gone through our forms and decided that we wouldn't get an IPA and that we would be able to keep our cars before the interview. Mine was worth £2750 and I needed it for work, OH's was £2500. But they didn't ask any questions as to why we needed them, they took it for granted that we needed them for work.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Hopefully it will go that way for us too, although i will be going alone now0

Sorry, insensitive of me
Although your OH will not get off lightly, the mortgage company will chase him, as will any creditors you have joint finances with, then he'll have to go it alone and deal with it, without the help and support he could have had with you. And god help him if he comes here asking for help!Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Yes he is starting to now but me being me a total softey wants him to be ok and i will help him............0
