I do this type of thing too & it's amazing how much you can get done in really small chunks of time. I have porridge for my breakfast every morning. I use the 31/2 mins in the microwave to wipe down the kitchen cupboard fronts & the appliances.
Doing 2 things at once is also really useful. A physio recommended that I use a gym ball to strengthen my core muscles & help stop intermittent back pain. I bought one & use it as a dressing table stool so as I'm putting on the slap or straightening my hair in the morning I'm doing my exercise. I haven't had back pain since.:j
I do these things because I'm NOT self disciplined & I know they wouldn't get done if I had to think about it or make an effort to do them.
Thanks for the idea Dobie! I hate hate hate wiping down the kitchen cupboards and doors, but doing it whilst I wait for the mw to ping is a great idea. It's these tiny things that make the difference here between total chaos and muddling through!
I like the gymball idea as well, I keep reading stuff about strengthening core muscles and thinking, oh that sounds like a good idea, but doing it whilst hair straightening would be excellent! Prob best that I don't attempt mascara whilst balancing though, that way lies a poke in the eye  :rotfl:
Undercover Angel - lovely to see you over on the Daily Chat thread, haven't posted much over the past couple of days as time seemed to slip through my hands! Whilst you're making your cottage pie mix up, consider dividing some of it up and adding a tin of toms and some peppers and garlic to use as bolognese and then saving a bit of that and adding chilli powder and kidney beans and more veg if wanted to make a chilli - every little helps lol
Kiwisaver - I agree about the 15mins of doing a job, hence getting everyone helping out for half an hour before we're due to go out, means we're all pushed to get on with it! And I like to view the time I spend on the internet, well on the OS forum as moneysaving, whilst I'm here I'm not spending anything and I'm gaining inspiration and tips, and as you say, it's nice to "speak" to other people who get why you want to be OS!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
