once your tax code is corrected you will automatically have the tax refunded through your pay, as long as the code is changed this tax year. (i.e. in time for your March pay)0

might be wise to drop revenue a letter - giving them details of your employment history from 6th april to the date you commenced your current job - make sure you confirm periods where you had no income and if you claimed job seekers give them dates amounts etc. If they have full employment history they will be able to update your code quicker - if your code changes prior to march and repayment is due it will be refunded via your wages - if it is not changed by march then you will need to submitt claim after the end of the tax year once you get your P60 - Worth a try to get sorted out before March - give them a call - or visit a local tax enquiry office0

Ask your employer for a P46, you should get your tax back quite quickly.Sell £1500
