I know all the other posts have suggested cheaper cards, but I see you used to pay 90p each if you bought 10 or more, so am suggesting Marks & Spencer. They have a good range of cards at £1.00, all cellophane wrapped so keep in good condition until you use them. I think they have an offer on at the moment for extra loyalty points if you buy something like 4 cards and use their &more card.
  • The Phoenix cards are really lovely so I understand your disappointment at your 'source' drying up!! Have a look at a school fair as there is always someone selling them at our local ones. Failing that you can access all the cards on Phoenix's web site now - traders can now sell using this and credit cards!!
  • I bought some lovely 'handcrafted' cards from the Book People this month - £13 for 30 - a mixture of types - 17 blank, 5 birthday, others incl new home, get well, thanks. Very nice quality.

  • I like Card Factory too. Nice decent cards for nice affordable prices. The ones they do as above 4 for £1 or even 7 for £1 look like they cost a lot more. I find Card Warehouse have gone rather expensive, most of theirs seem to be at least 79p now when they used to be 59p. In fact when I looked the other day I couldn't find anything under £1.19, but they were in middle of filling up shelves!

  • The other option is to get a package for you comp. and make them yourself like I do sometimes, only for special people though! The cost can be nearly as much as buying but you can personalise them and add pictures to do with their interests etc.
