Hi Guys,
I bought a leapster computer thingy for my son this christmas, so we get up and plug it in and it shows a blue screen! apparantly its a well known fault that the touch screens don't work very well, so i try and take it back because i misplaced the reciept they say theres nothing they can do! although i have done that with itmes in the past, has anyone else experienced that with them?

I may be wrong but I think if the item is faulty then a proof of purchase is all that's needed rather than an actual receipt e.g. if you paid with a card then your card statement should suffice. Hope this helps.0

I would try ringing leapfrog customer services and explain the situation.0

Yep if you paid by card then its just a matter of taking your statement along showing them when you paid. Hope that helps - good luck0

is the catalogue number on the box as they say this is proof of purchase too?Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

Officially no as although it shows it was bought from Argos there's no date proof of purchase. Some stores will accept it, some won't, if they do it's a gesture of goodwill.
Your best bet would be a bank statement, receipt, or if you can remember the date and time you went in the store you bought it at may be able to trace the transaction.[DISCLAIMER: Any posts made by myself are my opinions and do not represent my employer]
