We're making our own invites, decorations and I'm knitting myself a shawl. We're also thinking of making up a load of muffins instead of having a cake.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

What kind of decorations are you making MsChazzer? I thought about making my own cake but I thought by the time I do a trial run and then make the real thing, its cheaper to buy tescos own celebration cake!
We are planning on making
Invitations or we may buy if its cheaper as we only need 10.

So far I've made jewellery favour for the ladies, about eighty I think and cost about 40p each. Made my invites and working on the place cards. Probably spent £100 on these, but also have enough stuff for menu cards and order of services and a guest book, plus I'll have the cutters and stuff to take to my next car boot sale. I've made three tiaras, and MIL has made two little flower girl dresses with stoles. I have a nasty feeling that I'm going to have to make my own jewellery too as I can't find anything that goes with the tiara a bought for myself.0

Bunting! I'm doing some plain white stuff for the garden (got a white sheet in the Ikea bargain corner) and one of my sisters is making coloured stuff for indoors. We'd quite like to put up some photographs of our favourite places and quotes from poems but haven't quite worked out how to do this without it looking naff, or like a classroom. On the venue website there's a photo of a wedding where they hung photographs of flowers and it looks good, must quiz our venue manager on this!Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!
