Dawn, although your not happy with your current house at least you have your own place with your OH. I wish i had that! Your both debt-free and both have clear credit history!

Has your OH started putting any money towards the deposit yet?

Nope not a penny which is winding me up too :rolleyes: He needs to pay me back for his MOT too but went out and brought an xbox game yesterday when he got paid...

Hes 30 in April hence the big holiday trip!

He does want a baby, hes the one who brought it up last month and has now got me in a tizz! But all his spare money goes on cigarettes, beer and his xbox.

We need to sit down and do a better budget together, not sure right now is a great time though as I am very moody and might end up in a row.

If i could get him to quit smoking that would save him about £40 per week but he doesn't want too and I cannot force him.

it is so hard when one person is so focused and another isn't i dunno what will happen when i find smeone if they are silly with money! sounds like you need a chat but you are right now what not be a good time. Where do you live now and what is wrong with it?

There is nothing wrong with it as such, its 2 bedrooms so we would have enough room its just that we cannot decorate, the kitchen and bathroom floors are both carpeted which i hate with a passion, bathroom is very small can barely turn round in it so with a baby i think that would be a paid and i really want a cat flap! lol

could you speak to your landloard about making some changes. The bathroom probably wouldn't be a problem to cope with i used a baby bath in another room when we were in the hostel with a tarpoline sheet

Sorry to hear you are feeling down Dawn, i heard the other day something that said people who spend their money on doing things rather than material items items are much happier so I am sure the new york trip will do you the world of good. i have been and is really worth it to go.

Also it is annoying when your OH doesn't seem to make an effort but he is a man and they don't always understand
