Well I have to try and make some use out of him today. I have redeemed £5 from bport so giving that a rest for a while.0

I went a bit mad on bingoport yesterday, I was bored of trying to accumulate so I thought I'd spend the 4000 I had to see if I'd win something, I won 2000 of them back in the end, I might venture onto there now.
I think I'd like to do an nvq but I need to look into it properly. I have no idea how much it would cost, but I think I'd have been a lot better doing an nvq than a degree, if only I'd known that at the time. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
The college I'm doing mine through, the guy said something about everyone over 19 can get one free now but I don;t know if that eas certain areas etc0

That's interesting Yukki, I might have a look and see if that would apply to me. I'd read a post somewhere (might have been on here) about someone on JSA who wanted to do a course for something but was told they weren't allowed to because they were too qualified. After seeing that I assumed because I have some higher education I'd have to pay for everything. Finally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470

I'm not sure about the free NVQ thing... I don't think it applies if you have a level 3 qualification (e.g. A levels). Might be worth looking into though as things could've changed.
Just had tea - homemade cheese pie, chips and gravy. Lovely! Preparing myself for college now, have to leave in half an hour... I feel a bit drowsy but I think it's because I took painkillers earlier.0 -
You can't be over qualified I do remember him saying that but I have a level 3 in childcare and was still allowed to do a level 2 in IT.0

Is it level 3 or 4 that is equivalent to a degree? I remember looking a while back but have forgotten now. I think it's a bit stupid, yes I have a degree, but I have paid for it all myself which is why I can't really afford to do an nvq. We didn't get any careers advice so I did something I was good at because my friends and family were all telling me to, but I know if I went and did what was my back up plan when I was 18 (law) I'd be miserable. Argh!
*edit* You've already answered clFinally bought a homeStarting mortgage £289,500 31.01.19 - Current outstanding £192,586.98/CENTER]Overpayments since 27.03.19: £52,407.470 -
4 is a degree I think... not sure though.
Do you have to be claiming benefits to get it for free? I definitely couldn't get mine free anyway as I had already done three years at A level. I asked when I signed up to my course, which had the option of NVQ or diploma.0 -
Right I'm off to college. Be back on later! x0
