Thankful & Cheery

I've just read on www.bbc.co.uk/news that having a positive attitude does influence how people cope during lean economic times. It made me think as most of us on here seem to be cheerful most of the time :T & we take our pleasures in the little things. We're doing good folks :D :j :D

  • We are indeed - and I think if we're not feeling cheerful, we come here for support & help as we know we'll get it from all our OS friends....

If you can't be positive in some way then life can be so much harder.

    I agree...keep it up folks!:T :T :T
  • I agree, I try to be cheerful & keep a positive attitude, though I have to admit that I'm very lucky & haven't suffered as some people have.

Never let success go to your head, never let failure go to your heart.
  • I agree, my feeling is that we are lucky to be alive! Everything else is a bonus! No matter how skint we've been you can always find something to laugh about (and also someone worse off poor things) just turn on the news and you realise how bloomin' fortunate we are.

    Spot on there,
I am very thankful to be alive and kicking, and having had a very nasty health scare I never take anything for granted. No matter how cheesed of you can become, the alternative doesn't bear thinking about.
Today is another day that I have beaten the Grim Reaper and I have so much to count my blessings for .I have two wonderful daughters and seven smashing healthy grandchildren, a cupboard full of food, and enough money to live on. I enjoy life to the best of my capabilities and envy no-one:j :j

also passing it on, spreading the word and helping the younger ones who are new to hard times. That's worthwhile too.
