Happy New Year

For some of us, unfortunately 2009 is full of foreboding. I am sorry for all of us that feel this way. It is us too - I am not alone.
For those that have been through it and come out the other side, I congratulate you on your courage and perseverance. And for the support you have got, and for the support that you have given to others.
For the rest of us, I hope we can sit here with an entirely different viewpoint by this time next year. Humouring the pessimistic gits like me... and helping the helpless in the same way that we really need that help now.
Whether 2009 is a mountain that has still to be climbed, or the tough but triumphant walk down the other side, I wish this for 2009...
That we have the best of health to do it with. Good luck, courage and perseverance on our side. And good friends to show us the way.
Happy New Year to everyone here.
