any help would be much appreciated please:D

also while i am picking everyones brains, hubby has come home with a tray of 12 tins of 'spam' spam and a tray of 12 tins of mackerel in tomato sauce - any ideas for these please, other than putting them in sandwiches, dont want to waste them or give them to the cats and dogs :o but dont know what to do with them:confused:

You could make spam fritters, but I love grilled mackerel in tom sauce on toast!

Have you got any tins/jars of curry sauce to make chicken curry and then give some to your mum to put into her freezer?

    Have a look at www.spam-uk.com.
Hysterically funny selection of recipes you just gotta try with all that Spam, included a Greek style pastry with spinach and feta, Deep-Spam Pizza, Spam Tempura (posh spam fritter!), Sweet and Sour Spam, and my favourite sounding one Spamish Rice, a twist on paella!
I kid you not, but actually some of them are probably quite tasty!

Have you got a slow cooker?

I would put some in there without any sauce, perhaps put them in a dish with a bit of water around the dish so that they don't get too dry.

I do this sometimes and use them for sandwiches.

You could also refreeze them and take the out and defrost to use for sarnies (if your mum has the room that is).
  • wow !! only went to lay the baby down, and got loads of replies
