DMPs and bank accounts

Hi
just a quick query; i am soon going to be setting up a dmp with cccs for my debts. I have already opened a natwest step account ready to transfer my wages and any standing orders, direct debits etc. the step account is a very basic account it had no cheque book, no overdraft, but does have a debit card to make payments.
Do the cccs debt management plans still allow you to have a debit card? i would only be using it to withdraw cash or use to pay for essentials such as food and petrol, everything else will be coming directly out of my account by standing order or direct debit. Would really like to keep a debit card as they are easy to pay with as i dont like to keep big amounts of cash on me (obviously not very big as dont have much, lol) but think its always safer to pay by card.
Is anyone on a dmp with cccs and were they allowed a debit card?
xx

I have a Nat West step a/c, although it's a debit card it's not a Visa card, it's a Solo card.Do the cccs debt management plans still allow you to have a debit card?
Yes you would be allowed to have this type of card.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
as long as the bank isn't a creditor you can get any account you can with them. Some people are able to get current accounts, me just a basic account.0

Most DMP don't allow for further credit i.e opening an a/c which offers an O/D facitlity.as long as the bank isn't a creditor you can get any account you can with them.
