Charcolonline

We are looking to change our mortgage provider and I contacted a mortgage broker through the Monesupermarket site. After research, he quoted me for Halifax, but I told him I had found a very good deal with Derbyshire Building Society on Charcolonline. He went on to their website, could not find this deal, so phoned Derbyshire BS. They said this deal does not exist. Now it seems to me that Charcolonline are breaching the trading standards by advertising something that does not exist. I find it difficult to believe that they can get away with something like this. Does anybody know a body to whom I can make a complaint?
Thank you for listening.

Charcol have their own special deals from time to time. If this is one such deal then only Charcol could offer it. Why don't you ask Charcol to confirm its still available.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Charcol deals change quite often. As the deals are a combination of the mortgage offered by the BS and some tweaks offered by Charcol, its very easy for them to change the offer quite often.
I'd suggest you call them. They may still be able to offer the deal that you want.
I have had my last 2 remortgages through Charcol and they are excellent. I got deals that no BS could even think of offering. If you found my comment helpful, please click the 'Thanks' button below :T0
