Holiday pay

Hi all.

I got paid yesterday and noticed my pay was well down from what I was expecting so I looked at my pay slip and noticed I'd only been paid for 17 hours holiday instead of the 51 hours I've taken.

Got in contact with work and they have got back to me saying I'm only intitiled too 32 hours a week for holiday pay even thought i work 40 hours a week. so Basically every time i take a weeks holiday i'm going to lose 8 hours pay. Been with the company for 2 years and never had any problems before. Just want to know if this is right

Thanks Andrew

What are you contracted to work - if you are contracted to 32 hours and just do 8 hours overtime (but at standard rate because it's taking you up to full time hours) then they'd be right. If you are contracted to 40 hours then you should get a full weeks leave
