    Carpet S hite - 10% off day tomorrow witha further 20% off carpets only a Mosque would buy.

    Land of Leather and Skin Disease - hurry now - 50% of sofas that make you itch

    McDonalds - when Chavs cant be bothered to cook.

    Primark - because children don't get a day off at the sweat shop

    Woolworths - Open to sell off strip lights, light switches and vinyl floor tiling

    Zavvi - 50% off but gift vouchers not accepted, cash only please.

    Boots - open 24 hours for the Morning After Pill

    Next - sale starts at 5am. Queue from 5am to find the suit jackets fit well at 52 inches but come with 24 inch waist trousers. All XXL clothes are slim fit. !!!!!! is that all about?

    Dolland and Aitchinson will be closed. Should have gone to Specsavers.

    Debenhams - blue cross sale. yes a further 20% off that yellow jumper that has been worn and returned twice. 50% off Shannon Matthews' perfume, Eau de Divan.

    Argos - open for returns of engagement rings and hoopy ear rings.

    John Lewis - CLOSED as 'partners' having a day off.

    Asda - £19.50 suit for those on a drink driving court appearance on Jan 2nd.

  • In Scotland generally NO shops open on New Year's Day. Makes up one of only two compulsory days off along with Christmas day. (Apart from things like corner shops etc).

    After what has gone before on this thread your contribution is great.
    Went to look at the £19 suit and it should be OK for more than one court appearance.

  • My Tesco isn't open. But remember its 24/7 online and so what if this isn't the right place to post - it did the job as it got plenty of responses!
