There are costs to the card. You pay £4.95 a month fee or, if you have a flexi account you don't pay a fee but you do pay £1 per transaction. You also pay £2 to withdraw cash from ATM and £3 to withdraw cash from bank. You can reload your cash at post offices. So, fees are high but I don't plan on using mine much. Electron is fine - but not for hotels, trains, coaches or Tesco on-line!
