Make sure that you get a good warranty, iPhone's constantly break down.

Personally I would go with a rival brand like Samsung's Tocco or the Blackberry Storm

Funny you say that i upgraded to a samsung omnia i hate it!!! The windows o/s is hard to use and the wireless range on the phone is very poor i literally have to be within 4 metres of the wifi router or i can't get a signal, but my friends iphone i can use any where in the house. That's why i am changing :)

if your an existing o2 customer, and upgrade via their website you can have an iphone (refurb) for free - still an 18 month contract though - but its 12 months if your a premier custyomer.

ive done it and the refurb unit looks like new apart from the box. well happy as there is no way i was going to pay for a handset.

i went with o2 and got 18mnth £35 a month & £99 for the phone but i got money back on my old phone and also on my old top-ups so ended up only paying about £50 for the phone.

Best bet is to try and ask for extra .... and see what they say! You never know you might get lucky!

I have had my iPhone for over a year now and it has not broken down once, it has had the occasional crash crash, due to some apps but never broken down. Again misinformation from people who make comments without having used the phone - using it means owning the phone, not gawking over it in o2/Apple stores and CPW!!!!

Tip if your iPhone does ever break down, if there is a Apple store (Apple owned not a reseller) they will more than likely fix it for you, even if it out of warrenty!!!!!

One tip. Wait until after 9th January. Apple are rumoured to be making a few announcements and so the prices normally plunge after that.
