Need a 'netbook' for my bro with XP..

Hi all,
I'm looking around for a netbook laptop for my bro that has Windows XP on it. As he's a student he can't afford a really high price so the cheapest possible would be perfect. It *has* to have Windows as he can't get his head around Linux!
I saw one in Currys in Bristol for £199, but they were sold out and gave me the product ID to check in another store. When I checked in the Bath store the price was over £230. This is OK, but if there are any others around below this price I would love to know!
Any help would be greatly appriciated. :j

He does know they've got tiny keyboards and it's no substitute for a 'proper' laptop?
Here's a few at a range of prices...

Many thanks
I'll take a look at those.
He needs one for taking to lectures, and typing notes (But is still adamant on XP!) as he travels to university on the train a few days a week. He has a PC at home for doing 'regular' workMoneysaver and proud0 -
i would have thought he could have got a laptop for that price if he only needs it for wp then high spec would not be important0

nickj - a tiny laptop is just that... tiny. I've just carried a rather heavy laptop back from work. It would have been a real pain doing that all day!
If it's just for notes, i don't know why he can't just work out how to use a linux model - i've never used it before, but it took me 4 clicks of the touchpad to load the free wordprocessing tools up.
Personally.. i'd go for linux, because of all the free built in software - i don't think you get those with the windows models0 -
Linux is easy to use, ive used it myself and ive become a fan0

why not read through the thread entitled

rather than starting a new thread and doubling up information?0
