Massive price reductions on Waitrose Xmas Food

Hi I've just come back from my local Waitrose where they have marked down all their Christmas Lines, the reductions are amazing. For example:
700g pouch of Cadburys Roses BBF 04/09 £1.25 reduced from £8.00
Lindt Tin Snowman filled with chocs 49p down from £3.99
Russ Musical Snowman/Reindeer etc 25p down from £2.00
Reusable material tree decoration filled with chocs 19p down from £2.50
In the Night Garden tin with mallows 29p down from £1.99
Wall-E filled with jelly beans 39p down from £2.50

There were loads of different lines all massively reduced - most with quite long dates, they were obviously flying off the shelves but it might be worth a look if you have a Waitrose nearby. I got a basket full to put up for birthday presents as a lot of the things are not obviously Christmassy.

Waitrose reductions vary hugely from store to store. The only things less than half price in our branch today are Christmas puddings, and mince pies.

These are great prices if you would have bought the items anyway. I remember one year there were a load of "liquor" bottles being sold at ridiculous prices; the chap adjacent to me was busy loadingup his trolley and I asked him what his intentions were. He put them back when he realised they were actualy bottles of posh and very acidic vinegar  .

I'll tell my friend to go have a look. We don't have a Waitrose but he has a new one opened opposite his flat :)

New Waitrose branches usually take a while to get their ordering right, so tell him to check for bargains when they have to reduce stuff they have over-ordered.
