Hi everyone
Tomorrow is payday for me so I am declaring my total NSDs for January at 24.
I am so pleased and know that it is going to take a lot to beat that next time, but don't care if I don't make that many again, am just pleased with how I've started the year and am hoping to go on the same and I'm aware that it's also been a long time between the two pay days.
Good luck everyone, will be looking forward to the next month's challenge.
Cheers
Casper

Well done everyone
I'm up to 9/16 which means only 2 more spend days allowed if I am going to make it... and I have to spend today  so it's possible but looking increasingly difficult!

 Sorry for being awol the last few days my lovelies.
Hubby has been made redundant - and there's so much to do and organise and work out.
On top of that they've finally worked out what's been wrong with my Mum the past 4 months - it's bowel cancer - so there's a flurry of activity associated with that.
And if I'm honest, quite a bit of staring into space worrying.
My 20 yo son was planning to move out in March into a house share with some mates, but he says he'll stay here if we need his contribution to stay afloat. I'll feel horrible if we hold him back though.
My 14 yo daughter was supposed to start managing her own Child Benefit from next month to learn money management skills, but I'm not sure we'll be able to let her. (She's already said that she doesn't mind waiting a bit longer, but I know she does really. She's been so looking forward to it.)
Anyway... Sorry for all the misery guts posts this month, but on the bright side the NSDs are going swimmingly cos I am terrified to spend any money at all!

Oh Jacks - huge hugs to you and yours - Dr Dragon is pretty much in the same boat so I know where you are coming from (although he had a job interview for a two month contract this morning - fingers crossed!)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

I am very sorry to hear of your news regarding your Mum's illness and your Hubby's job Jacks. Hopefully they have caught your Mum early and it all be very treatable. I firmly believe that as one door closes another one opens so tell ubby to keep a weather eye out for that.
Please also hug your son and daughter for me for being so thoughtful. You must be very proud of them.
As for my low spending and no spending regime, the NSD's continue apace. I have been foillowing my rules religiously and using Jacks trick of doing my shopping on the same day that I have plans to go out in the evening, or the same day that I have to buy my travel ticket. In this way I have been able to score four or five NSDs in one week! (A feat I never believed was possible for me.)
It is my very great pleasure to announce (to shout from the rooftops in fact:D ) that I have now beaten my target of 8 NSDs and in fact, I've had 13 this month so far. :eek:0
