Professor Layton Prices and Search

Options
Hi all

I am desperately looking for Professor Layton on DS and cant seem to find it anywhere, apart from ebay which I wouldnt risk buying it from and Amazon - where the price has shot up to £59.99!!

Does anyone know where I can get one from......at a realistic price!

http://www.movietyme.com say they have the American version in stock for £24.99

I've bought a couple of things from them in the past & have to say delivery can be a bit slow, but if you're desperate & can't find one anywhere else it might be worth a try
  • I am looking too and finding the same problem, i am waiting until the hype is over.
To those who have the game is it worth the hype?

I think it's ok, I know 3 people who think it's great. It's basically a bunch of puzzles strung together though, so without trying to stereotype too much it would appeal more to the older or feminine gamer than the platfrom or 3D shooter fans. If you liked brain training you'll probably like Layton. In general, of course.

I find the cut scenes a little tiresome.

I suspect you will find loads in few weeks either reduced or on ebay once the hype has died down.

I thought it was generally available now? We got ours from PC World before Xmas. I know that it appeared on Amazon and sold out within minutes (presumably bulk buyers, intending to sell on), but shortly after that, it seemed to be in stock almost everywhere.

I got mine a few months ago on import when there was no sign of a UK release, & I just couldn't put it down, so I'm hoping the rumours of 2 sequels are true

    but what Lorian said ...

is pretty much spot on, so it won't be everyone's cup of tea

funnily enough I couldn't stand Brain Training & gave mine away ... it kept telling me I was 84 :D

They had Professor Layton in WHSmiths today at £29.99. I was in the Tewkesbury store, not sure if they will have them in stock everywhere, but seemed a better price than I have seen before. Almost bought it, but was give 3 other DS games for xmas, so trying to resist.

    Try here http://www.game.co.uk/search.aspx?platform=*&s=PROFESSOR+LAYTON&sort=itemOrderasc

Scroll down £48.91 with Braintraining (which if you dont want the latter you could easily sell on e bay!)
