Nice quiet night in, I hate new year! Never had happy memories of it as a kid (thanks dad:mad:), so it's kinda ruined for me... Although the 1st Jan is a nice day, so quiet and peaceful!

We will be going next door for a family party and usually stay till about 1am then for once I will have a lie in on New years day as I have retired myself from doing the family New Years Lunch.

It made sense when OH and I were first married as My family and his family all lived in the same village so everyone could just walk to our house. Over the years we have all moved to different villages so it means that OH has to go around collecting people and most of my brothers dont come along anyway. So I have been brave and stopped it this year.
